Terms of sale
These terms apply to every quotation, order and delivery by Liffey Chemicals.
1. Use of products
Products are supplied for professional research and industrial use only. They are not for human, veterinary, food or cosmetic use, and not for resale to consumers. By ordering you confirm that you are purchasing on behalf of an organisation for such use and that you have the competence and facilities to handle hazardous chemicals safely.
2. Quotations and prices
Catalogue prices track the live precious-metal market and may change at any time until an order or quotation is created, at which point they are fixed. Quotations are valid for the period stated (normally 7 days). Prices exclude VAT, shipping and any dangerous-goods surcharge unless stated otherwise.
3. Orders and payment
Card payments are taken at checkout. Invoice orders are dispatched on receipt of payment of the pro forma invoice unless credit terms have been agreed in writing. VAT is charged in accordance with Irish and EU law; reverse-charge treatment depends on a valid VAT number verified in VIES at the time of order.
4. Delivery
Delivery dates are estimates. Risk passes to you on delivery to the address you provided. Dangerous goods are shipped only by carriers licensed for the relevant class. You are responsible for ensuring the delivery address can receive hazardous chemicals.
5. Returns
Chemicals are non-returnable once shipped. If a delivery is damaged, short or does not match the certificate of analysis, notify us within 5 working days and we will replace the goods or refund.
6. Quality
Each lot is released against our specification and a certificate of analysis. Our liability for any claim is limited to the price paid for the goods concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
7. Compliance
You are responsible for complying with all laws applicable to the receipt, storage, use and disposal of the products, including REACH, CLP and local chemical-control regulations.
8. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction.
